Microsoft adopted the process named "Security Development Lifecycle" in order to make their products more secure and robust as part of the "Trustworthy Computing" initiative.

In my earlier post related to Microsoft Community Tech Days in Kolkata I had mentioned about writing a series of posts on Security related topics as the theme of this Tech Days event will be "Secure Coding".But instead of jumping directly into topics like attacks, threats and countermeasures I felt that we should take a look into security focus of Microsoft in a more general perspective to start with.That's why I chose to begin the series with Trustworthy Computing.
